The number of our social activities, which correspond to each of our values, is increasing day by day. Wittur Turkey was inspired by one of our seven values, Protecting People and the Environment, and as a result of a strong commitment to sustainability, became a part of a social responsibility initiative.
According to estimates over 10 million animals live on the street. Those animals need special care and living areas. Our colleagues from Turkey team up called Wittur Cute Paws, which is established by volunteer team members to protect animal friends and take care of their physical and emotional needs. The initiative was announced to the whole WTR organization, and the number of volunteers increased rapidly.
The volunteers designed special posters to protect our animal friends and each waste that was not used in the factory became a home for animal friends. Meanwhile, our teammates continued to work quickly on their initiative to build the hut in the time left over from their work hours. After the preparation of nests and feeders was completed, Wittur Cute Paws Team explored and determined the most needed region.
Of course, they did not only provide a nest, but also prepared food to feed them and placed them all in the Wittur Cute Paws region. Now, regularly, the volunteer team continues to visit every week to meet their formula-water needs.
This is one of the greatest desires to make our goals integrated with sustainability a habit. The waste materials have been recycled into a positive project and they have done this by using their resources more efficiently. It feels great to support more livable earth on behalf of both our planet and our animal friends thanks to this project. This job was based only on labor, dedication, and volunteering. It is flattering to work with great people who are willing to do this. We appreciate your effort for a better world.
